More Lessons in Patience

Excitement and every other emotion has been building up in the anticipation of Jeremy leaving for his mission today.  No one foresaw a microscopic bug keeping him from getting on a plane, but it has.

Jeremy started coming down with something on Sunday - as did his sister.  By Tuesday, there was no denying that Jeremy was sick. A call in to the doctor to see if we could get an antiviral medication prescribed was denied.  We were told that it wasn't the flu but rather some sort of stomach bug that's been going around.

We prayed and prayed some more that Jeremy would feel better.  Sometimes it appears that our prayers are not answered when in fact, what we needed wasn't what we wanted or needed at that time.  What I mean is, we can't see the whole picture.  We don't see what God sees.  Maybe Jeremy needed a few more hours or days to leave.  Maybe things that Jeremy needed at the MTC wasn't ready.  Maybe God is teaching Jeremy more patience.  Whatever the reason is, Jeremy will leave when he is meant to leave - be it later today, tomorrow, or next week.  For now, we pray for Jeremy's health to return and to trust in the Lords will.

Please pray for Jeremy.

I'll keep you posted as to when he will leave.
